DAY DREAMING IN is a Community Interest Company that promotes creative practice and art as a tool for intervention and engagement, we do this through open access events, session based workshops, site specific projects, group programmes, outreach work and 1-1 mentoring.
DAY DREAMING IN was formed in response to a need for specialist interventions and alternative provisions for people living in and navigating one of the poorest wards in England.
The work is possible thanks to the trust and strong relationships with young people and the community and the commitment of our partners; local authority teams, community hubs and business owners who continue to support our projects.
Despite the many recognised benefits that come from improved access to creativity, the art sector sees huge disproportionality and discrimination based on class, social status and ethnic background meaning that a lot of the time those young people that would benefit most from these types provisions face the greatest barriers.
