CHAPEL STONES PASSAGE
North London, 2025
The first phase of our Chapel Stones Passage project supported by the HomeCooked Community Fund.
The aim was to engage Young People in Northumberland Park in Tottenham by offering an activity that promoted creativity, wellbeing, connecting with nature and pride & belonging in their local area. We removed waste, built timber flower beds and painted a wayfinding artwork along the length of the passage. This initiative offered paid work experience to the young people who worked alongside artists and practitioners from our team and the amazing urban gardening group
The young people who took part were then immortalised as part of the mural alongside community members. It’s important for future generations to see themselves represented in the visual makeup of their area and in turn for the wider community to recognise young people as a positive influence rather than a problem.
